Here is the description of the options in the Hotkeys Dialog:
• Framed Box near top:
This displays the current "Hotkey" for this item. In this example, the Command key and the function key "F13" from an extended keyboard is used. While this dialog is open, just hit whatever key combination you'd like to use and it will be associated with this command and shown in this box.
Check Boxes:
• Build Font Menu:
If checked, this window will initially have a list of Fonts (otherwise, the only option available in the Font menu will be “Load Fonts Now”). The reason this option is available is because building a font menu can take time depending on how many fonts are installed. To greatly speed up bringing up a QuickNote text editing window, uncheck this option (you can always build the menu after the window is open if you need to).
• Use Large Window:
If checked, QuickNote will use a larger window for any of the text editing windows , check this option only if you have at least a 13" monitor.
Radio Buttons:
These radio buttons determine how new notes are named when you first create one.
• Untitled Note:
If checked, new notes will be initially titled “Untitled Item”.
• Use Date:
If checked, new notes will be initially titled with the current date.
• Use Date & Time:
If checked, new notes will be initially titled with the current date and time (the time is separated by the “.” character and not the “:” character because file names cannot contain a “:” character).
• Use Beginning of text:
If checked, new notes will be initially titled with the first few characters of the text on the clipboard (only used for the “Copy Selection/Edit” option).
